With rumors flying around about their next big single-player DLC and the corner BioWare appears to have written themselves into with Mass Effect 3's ending, it's no wonder the fans have started to hope–just a little–that BioWare might take the opportunity to add to the still-controversial ending.
The hopes were particularly fueled by rumors and information on the next DLC that is said to focus on the Citadel, and composer Sam Hulick's tweet about a "sad piece" he was making for the DLC, as well as by voice actors like Seth Green coming back for more voice work.
But Community Manager Jessica Merizan seems to have effectively dashed all of those hopes. At least, that's the way it appears. A fan asked if we could "at least get a hint when the ending will be addressed more clearly", adding that he was praying that the fan favorite indoctrination theory was correct.
Merizan simply responded "We have no plans to address the ending again", to which the fan asked a more specific follow-up question asking if there would be any post ending DLC. Merizan has not, at present, responded to the fan on this more specific question although she has posted several tweets since, so we are left to our own devices at the moment to interpret the situation.
Does BioWare have some post-ending DLC up their sleeve and are simply side-stepping comments? Or did Merizan give us all the answers we'll ever get about Shepard's future after the game already? Tell us what you think in the comments.
