Following the trailer recapping Dead Space 1 and 2's story, EA has now announced the demo date for Dead Space 3 and that it will take place in Tau Volantis, which is the snowy planet Visceral has been showing off in gameplay trailers.
According to the press release, " Players will embark on a thrilling ride through space that takes them to a hostile new planet, Tau Volantis. Fortunately, they are not alone this time around. The fully integrated drop-in/drop-out co-op feature gives players the option to play alone or team-up with a friend anytime. Players that choose to take down the terror together will experience additional story details, side missions and gameplay mechanics only found when playing as John Carver."
The Dead Space 3 demo is set to be released on the PSN and Xbox LIVE on January 22, but for Xbox 360 players, there is a chance to get to play it a week early. Just sign up on the official Dead Space 3 demo hub to get the demo on January 15.
Mind you, I've heard of timed-exclusive DLCs, but a demo? Yeah, it is a bit weird that EA is doing this exclusively for the Xbox 360.

Dead Space 3 is set for a February 5, 2013 release for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Anyone excited to try out the demo for what could be 2013's first big game?
