Franklin is one of the main characters in the upcoming Rockstar release – Grand Theft Auto 5. Hailing from Los Santos, Franklin is reportedly an ex-gangster and an all around opportunist. On TSunday afternoon, forum residents over at www.gtaforums.com revealed who they feel has to be Franklin's voice actor.
Shawn Fonteno has starred in 2 DJ Pooh movies (The Wash and 3 Strikes). DJ Pooh is the hip hop DJ starring in GTA 5 as well as a consultant for GTA: San Andreas' gang environment. As such, this internet detective effort seems to be fruitful. Here is a group of scenes starring Shawn Fonteno.
GTA 5 is due to be released sometime in the spring of 2013. It stars 3 different characters in Los Santos, a region of San Andreas. It's slated for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There's no word on whether Rockstar has any plans to put it out on the PC, but we've got our fingers crossed.
