We know the next installment of the Borderlands series is in the works. This came out all the way back in January of 2015 when Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford announced that he was preparing to work on a new Borderlands video game. Since then, we’ve been receiving small teases of what’s to come.
Grant it, not much information has been unveiled at all when it comes to Borderlands 3. The last piece of news we received when it came to the upcoming video game installment was during the 2017 Game Developers Conference where Randy Pitchford showcased a small tech demo of Unreal Engine 4 and what Borderlands 3 could potentially look like.
According to the tech demo that was shown off, it seems that Borderlands may evolve just a bit visually, though no official assets have been showcased from the current project. Nevertheless, a new image has popped up online once again further teasing the upcoming title.
A tweet was posted by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford showing the CEO wearing capture gear. Within the post, it was stated that he may be representing a psycho bandit in a video game they may be working on. Unfortunately, no other news regarding the upcoming Borderlands installment was unveiled quite yet.
Doing a shoot… I may or may not be a psycho bandit in a video game we may or may not be working on. Also, happy Bulletstorm launch day! pic.twitter.com/5X9ZzC6kdJ

Perhaps we’ll get some small bit of news during this year’s E3 event which takes place in just a few short months. At the very least, we know that Borderlands 3 is well into development over at the Gearbox studio.
