Formerly restricted to the tabletop realm, award-winning card game Onirim has expanded its reach to mobile users and celebrates its official launch today. A solitaire game at heart, developer Z-Man games first published the game in 2009 and re-released it in 2014 as a second edition, which was nominated for best solo game by BoardGameGeek as part of their annual Golden Geek awards.
How does one play Onirim? Primarily a solo game, Onirim also offers two player co-op and tasks players with wandering through a dream filled labyrinth in a quest to reveal eight oneiric door cards by drawing and playing cards. They also have to escape before time runs out; if it does, players are trapped in the game forever. Keeping things interesting are the slithering nightmares, which can force players to reluctantly part with cards they’d much rather hold onto.
Onirim is now available for just $0.99 USD via Google Play and the App Store.
