We have a possible lead on new features for NBA 2K15, thanks to information provided by 2K Sports themselves.
2K Sports had Utah Jazz player Trey Burke in their studios to do some voicework. Both 2K Sports and Trey shared pics of him in the sound booth on Twitter and Instagram.
Now, as our source points out, and with all respect to Burke, but it’s unlikely that he is the cover player for NBA 2K15. This is significant because we usually only get the cover player’s voice in the 2K Games, to talk between cutscenes and things like that. So, this implies that 2K recorded Burke’s voice for something else.
So, will the cutscenes in NBA 2K15 have vocals for even more players? Or are they planning to add more player voices for you to use on your custom created player? Of course, this could just be an early leak to a surprising decision to give the cover to Burke, but we won’t know for sure until the game actually comes out.
We know that might not be enough action for some of you. Don’t worry, we thought of you too. Here’s some more development footage, of some players doing motion capture dunks.
NBA 2K15 is coming October 15 to Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
