Earlier today Microsoft has announced a brand new wireless Xbox controller. The controller is of premium material and will be the first in the new Tech Series for Microsoft.
Being titled as the Recon Tech Special Edition, it was inspired by military and sci-fi gear, giving players a unique feel. The wireless controller will be available worldwide on April 25 and will cost $69.99. Check out how the new controller looks down below:
In developing this new controller series, the Xbox team was inspired by military technology and performance patterns, exploring concepts stemming from combat armor and sci-fi mechanical gear. Premium finishes like a laser etched texture on the front, gold accents and insignia are on the front of the controller. The back of the controller features textured diamond rubberized grip for added control and comfort.
In addition, Microsoft detailed a new great way to use this remote — Copilot mode. This new mode allows any two Xbox Wireless Controllers act as if they were one. This new console feature will be ideal for parents who want to help their kids play, experienced gamers looking to play with novice players, or gamers who need unique configurations to play.
The first Xbox controller in the new Tech Series — Recon Special Edition is set to go on sale on April 25 and will be priced at $69.99.
