Rumor: Dead Space Dev May Be Working on Online Strategy Game

October 9, 2012 by Jeanine Celestin-Greer

Just what is Visceral Games up to?

When it comes to the games industry (or probably any industry) if you keep your ear to the ground, and your eyes peeled on the job listings on developer sites, you can usually get some pretty good confirmation about potential games being made months and sometimes years ahead of announcement.

Visceral Games (Dead Space, Dante's Inferno) may branch out and try something a little different in the strategy genre. Job listings indicate that the Redwood Shores location is just hired a Global Community Manager who apparently satisfied the requirement of having an unhealthy passion for MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) games.

Now Visceral is looking for a character concept artist for an upcoming PC action title as well as a "a game designer with "work experience on MOBA, Action RTS" titles as well as "knowledge of the competitive space." It isn't clear if all of these jobs pertain to the same game, but Eurogamer believes that the jobs have a lot of crossover potential, citing that MOBAs as a genre are relegated to PCs.

Dead Space strategy game anybody?
