Crysis 3 Multiplayer Intro Released by Crytek

October 9, 2012 by Alex Co

Crytek has released a new video giving you an intro on Crysis 3’s multiplayer.

We already detailed Crysis 3's new Hunter Mode in just a week ago; now, Crytek has released a new trailer that highlights what players can expect from Crysis 3's multiplayer.

In the video, Crysis 3 producer Mike Read explains some of the new gameplay elements that will be part of Crysis 3. We now know that the game will have 12 maps, 30+ new weapons and eight game modes in the final game. In addition to that, console players will be able to play with a maximum 12 players per map, while PC players will have that cap at 16.

While the additions to the Crash Site game mode looks good, the obvious star of the game mode (and the trailer) is that giant controllable mech that lumbers about. Called the "Ceph Pinger," it can be taken down by shooting at it or you can jump onto its "head" and take out the pilot driving it to get the mech for yourself.

Lastly, Crytek is also introducing the "New York Feed." It's a dynamically-generated map of New York City that documents what you and your friends have achieved within the "city." In addition to that, the New York Feed will even offer custom generated achievements to add another meta-game to your FPS meta-game of leveling up.

Crysis 3 is scheduled to hit in February, 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Are you ready to don your Nanosuit armor once again?
