Assassin’s Creed 3 Video Shows the Game’s Parkour Elements

October 5, 2012 by Alex Co

Want to see stuff from Assassin’s Creed 3 that doesn’t involve killing? Watch the video to see parkour instead of stabbings!

There hasn't been any dearth when it comes to Assassin's Creed 3 footage, but what's out there most of the time shows Connor what he does best and that's killing his enemies.

However, another important element of the franchise we haven't seen a lot of is the free-running (parkour) mechanic that's been copied by a lot of games ever since. Fortunately for us, there's a new video out now that highlights exactly just that.

While the video is in Polish, you don't need to understand what they're saying in order to see Connor jump from one ledge to the next. I particularly like the part where he makes like Tarzan and uses trees as his own parkour playground.

As with the other entries in the series, the character can climb up to almost anything they can see in the game. There's an earlier part of the vid where Connor stands on tiptoe before looking out the landscape, which was quite impressive.

Without a doubt, most of the things you see in the video won't be anything new, but it's still nice to be reminded that Assassin's Creed 3 isn't just all about assassinating all the time, no?

Assassin's Creed 3 will be out on October 30 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, while the PC version will ship a month after.
