Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is receiving a celebrated event starting today until April 3, 2017. The event is in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day where gamers can partake in free supply drops, a new map, along with unlocking a variety of cameos.
For starters, gamers will be able to receive one free Supply Drop each week during Activision’s event known as “Operation Shamrock and Awe”. It’s worth pointing out that there will be three weeks available to receive a Supply Drop and that gamers will not be able to stack these items. Instead, you’ll have to log on each week to claim the Supply Drop.
You’re likely familiar with the map Downpour. Activision has included a new variant of the map known as Daybreak which is full of sunshine, rainbows, and decorations in celebration of the holiday. This map is free, but will only be available to play on during the duration of Operation Shamrock and Awe.
As you complete challenges, players will also earn themed cameos, all of which, as you can probably guess, is themed around the holiday. What’s worth collecting the cameos, reticles, calling cards, and emblems is if a player completes each of the three collections then they’ll be able to unlock Darren “Graves” Cosgrave as a playable character to keep.
Remember this event is live right now and will be available until April 3, 2017, for those who wish to seek out the limited supplies and themed cameos.
