Tomb Raider: Lara Croft Gets Skinned for Pre-Order Incentive

October 2, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

It puts the lotion in the bucket or it gets the hose again.

Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider is getting skinned—well, not skinned alive, but retextured—as a preorder incentive on Amazon.com. I have no idea where I was going with that, but you might want to put down your knife and fork.

If you pre-purchase the game on Amazon for the PC, Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3, you’ll be eligible to receive an exclusive art book for the game, an in-game skin for Lara Croft, and a digital copy of The Final Hours of Tomb Raider, an ebook for the Kindle by Geoff Keighley.

Both the book and in-game skin will be available as a part of the game’s product packaging while the ebook is set to arrive in a separate e-mail from Amazon as a download code. The offer extends to anyone who’s already preordered the game.

Pre-order deals for other retailers, including Steam and GameStop are expected to be revealed sometime in the future.

Tomb Raider is set for a 2013 release on the aforementioned platforms.

Thanks VG247.
