HTC Offers Payment Plan for VR Headset

February 28, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

A helping hand to ease the pressure on our pockets.

The HTC Vive is hits the pockets harder than competitors. With a $799 price tag, it’s unsurprising that consumers have been hesitant.

But our cries have not gone unheard. HTC has revealed a new payment plan for North Anerica to help players cope with the steep costs.

“For the first time, Vive is launching a financing program in North America,” stated HTC. “For $66 a month and no-interest financing for 12 months, users can purchase a Vive on Vive.com with zero down. Additional new financing options are available at varying finance terms.”

The Vive will not be seeing a price reduction. And with the pending upgrade peripherals like the Vive Tracker ($99.99), owning a Vive will still be heavy on the wallet.

The payment plan will however satisfy those happy monthly contributors, and make the technology more accessible.
