Injustice: Gods Among Us TGS Trailer Brings the Pain

September 20, 2012 by Alex Co

Warner Bros. has released the TGS trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us and it shows the different ways superhumans can hurt each other.

NetherRealms Studios has released the TGS trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us and it shows a lot of new moves the studio has for its fighters.

The trailer starts out with Batman talking about a "Code Red" situation that almost made me think we were going to see an emphasis on the game's narrative early on. However, after the first few seconds, it takes the focus away from the Dark Knight and offers to show us the game's carnage instead. Not complaining, mind you, as the footage we see shows a few of the characters' special moves and if I'm not mistaken, this is the first time we get to see them.

While Batman is my favorite comic book character of all time, I admit, his moves look tame compared to the other fighters. There's Harley with her "pie in the crotch" special move, Wonder Woman even gets her Amazonian handmaidens to help her in beating Cyborg up.

Those even look tame compared to Flash's whirlwind attack where he runs in circles so fast his opponent gets lifted up into the air. Sadly, even Batman's protege Nightwing seems to have more awesome moveset compared to him. In one instance, the former Robin jumps on his cycle and drives back and forth while beating the beejesus out of Wonder Woman.

I'm hoping Batman gets a supermove where he calls Alfred into the battle to serve poisonous tea and crumpets; or at least, something to that effect. That would be awesome, no?

Injustice Gods: Among Us is expected to ship next year for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
