Torment: Tides of Numenera Receives a Dynamic New Story Trailer

February 9, 2017 by Kris Kittie

Check out this amazing new trailer.

inXile Entertainment and Techland Publishing have revealed today the latest trailer for their upcoming and highly-anticipated science fantasy RPG, Torment: Tides of Numenera. This is the thematic successor to one of the most critically revered and in-depth CRPGs of all time.

This brand new cinematic story trailer recounts the lore that leads up to the very moment that characters began their odyssey as the Last Castoff, which is the flesh and blood by product of a deity known as the Changing God.

A billion years in the future a man discovered a way to cheat death. He was a seeker of knowledge and wisdom, and his ultimate goal was to be remembered and leave an everlasting legacy. During his quest for such a goal, he discovered ancient technology, the Numenera, that enabled him to transfer his consciousness to a body of his own creation. Thus he created a new self, the Changing God.

In an effort to escape death, the Changing God invoked a fearsome and ancient beast known as The Sorrow. It is a terrifyingly powerful guardian of balance that awakened once the scales were tipped in the favor of the Changing God. The Sorrow is determined to destroy the Changing God and all of his Castoffs.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is a game of intricate choices and thousands of meaningful decisions that ensure every playthrough is unique. The game will launch February 28th 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. For more information on Torment: Tides of Numenera and the various editions available for purchase, please visit the official website at http://tormentgame.com/.
