Injustice was a massive hit when it first launched into the market. Gamers got Mortal Kombat gameplay mixed in with their favorite DC Comics universe characters. Today, NetherRealm Studios, the developers behind the upcoming Injustice 2 video game release, has confirmed four characters that will be present in the character roster.
There are plenty of characters still waiting to be unveiled to the public, but the developers have confirmed the return of three more Injustice characters along with a newcomer. The returning characters that will be present in Injustice 2’s character roster are Bane, Brainiac, and Poison Ivy. As for the newcomer, players will be given the ability to play as Black Canary.
There are a number of move sets that will be present for Black Caray such as the Canary Cry, but also she’s a fierce MMA take-down type character with several grappling moves that can be used as your disposal. Because Injustice 2 doesn’t officially launch until later this year, we’ll likely see more character roster reveals in the coming months.
When it comes to the storyline, Injustice 2 will pick up after the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us. The alternate timeline Batman is left picking up the pieces of society while struggling against Superman’s regime remnants. Although a new threat is set to appear that puts Earth at risk.
