Minecraft and Threadless Team Up For A T-Shirt Design Challenge

Minecraft is a community that’s 40 million gamers strong, and Threadless has just about the largest collection of talented artists, many of whom also happen to be players of Minecraft.

As such, Mojang and Threadless have teamed up to provide the artists of Threadless with the opportunity to express their creativity and love for Minecraft with a challenge to design a Minecraft themed shirt and be the winner for the next Threadless design.

Threadless has put together a new challenge for its community—and for the fans of Minecraft—to bring their design to life with the characters, tools, and blocks of Minecraft to create the Threadless Loves Minecraft t-shirt design. Not unlike previous challenges, the entire Threadless community will have the opportunity to rate user-submitted designs.

In this challenge, three designs will be chosen and released at MineCon in November, and the winning shirts will be sold on Threadless.com in January next year.

In addition to having a winning design, the designers will receive $3,000 in cash, a $500 Threadless gift certificate, and a free trip to MineCon at the Disneyland Resort Paris which takes place on November 24-25.
