Joe Danger 2: The Movie Gets a September Release Date

September 6, 2012 by Lana Polansky

Hello Games Founder announces this will be the “last Joe Danger for consoles.”

British indie developer Hello Games has announced that Joe Danger 2: The Movie will be coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade on September 14, and will cost 12000 MSP ($15.00 US).

Company founder Sean Murray expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming sequel, saying,

“We’re so incredibly excited to finally be able to release Joe Danger 2. This has consumed our lives for two years, and it’s a game we’re incredibly proud of. We’re a small team, and this is huge game, supporting features like global level sharing and online ghosts of everybody who has ever played the game.”

“This is the our last Joe Danger for consoles. That makes me feel a heady mix of elation and sadness. We’re celebrating, because we’re excited to finally let people play this game we love. I hope we’ve giving Joe the send off he deserves, we want it to be a game that people remember five years from now.”

The all-new game plops the stuntman onto a blockbuster movie set, allowing players to create every scene using the stunts, racing and platforming that was beloved about the first game. The game is comprised of 100 scenes, using over 20 vehicles, including jetpacks and hoverboards which players can also use to race against each other in the new Competitive Gameplay modes.

To sweeten the deal, the Joe Danger Special Edition is now on sale for 600 MSP  ($7.50 US) on XBLA – so snatch that up if you haven’t had a chance to play it yet!
