Fan-made Duke Nukem 3D in Unreal Engine 3 Okay’d by Gearbox

A fan-made version of Duke Nukem 3D, code-named Duke Nukem: Next-Gen, powered by Unreal Engine 3 has received a non-commercial licence to proceed with its development. Project lead Frederik "Fresch" Schreiber has started assembling a team of other contributors thanks to Gearbox's openness of sharing the franchise with the community.

The Public release of the multiplayer demo of the game will soon be released, but the first in-game footage has been posted to youtube which you can check it out below,
