Project Octopath Traveler is a new, fully original RPG from Square Enix. Although the game was announced during the Switch event, an official Facebook page has since been created, which offers up new details about what to expect.
Comments form Square Enix producer Tomoya Asano have already been posted to this page. First, he posted an introduction to the game’s new Facebook page, saying, “This is Square Enix producer Tomoya Asano. It’s my pleasure to finally announce our newest project, the fully original role-playing game Octopath Traveler!”
“While we can’t reveal any specific details quite yet (keep an eye out for promotional media in the near future), we’d like to share with you a behind-the-scenes look at the development process in the meantime,” writes Asano. “A long road lies ahead of us, but we hope that you’ll come along for the journey!”
It is unclear exactly how far into the development process Project Octopath Traveler is, but based on the trailer that was released on the Switch event some groundwork has been laid.
