The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Will NOT Run in 1080p

January 15, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

There will also be a notable difference between the game on Wii U and Switch.

Last week IGN circulated news that Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be running at 1080p resolution on the Nintendo Switch and 720p resolution on the Wii U, this was apparently confirmed by producer Eiji Aonuma who also stated that this would be accompanied by faster loading times.

However, this has been disproven by a report posted by IGN that Breath of the Wild was not confirmed at 1080p resolution on Switch.

Differences have been noted between the Wii U and the Switch, and that the Switch will be the platform with superior textures and animation, but it will definitely not be running at 1080p if one plugs the switch into a TV.
