Microsoft Looking to Recruit Ex-OnLive People

August 27, 2012 by Alex Co

Microsoft is seeking to hire former OnLive employees fir future Xbox and Kinect projects.

If you didn't know, OnLive, the cloud-based gaming service recently ran into a spate of financial difficulties and without going into too much detail, let's just say the company now has a new owner; and it had to let go of almost all its employees.

While it's never fun to read about people losing their jobs, it seems Microsoft is stepping up to the plate to get a few fresh faces into the company,

The publisher, who has since long been rumored to be interested in OnLive, is using EventBrite to recruit people and had this listed on the site:

We are eager to speak to individuals and teams affected by the OnLive transition. With the stunning success of Xbox/Kinect and the accelerated growth of this business, we are looking to add key players who want to make a real impact in creating groundbreaking new products and services.

Could this be a reactionary move by Microsoft seeing as Sony has acquired Gaikai? We don't know for now, but if ever the publisher announces its next platform and cloud-based gaming is somehow featured, you'll know where it came from, no?
