Halo 4: Two New Helmets, One Looks Like a CD-ROM Drives

August 25, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Two new helmets have surfaced for the upcoming shooter from 343.

If you hated the way the previously revealed helmets for Halo 4 looked like, you'll be aghast with the release of the two new helmets which surfaced today.

Presenting the Scanner and the Strider, the two helmets bear a pair of tacky color schemes and then some. Let's get into them, shall we?

The Scanner looks like a paintball helmet with a CD-ROM drive attached to it. Imagine if the helmet's specialization allowed you to cycle through the Halo 4 soundtrack with the use of the D-Pad.

The other helmet, dubbed the Strider, resembles a bug eye, minus the cool faceting.

Ah well. With any luck we'll be able to customize the helmets with better color schemes instead of being forced to stick to the ones we've seen thus far.

Halo 4 is set for release on November 6. It is exclusive to the Xbox 360.
