Nordic Games and The Farm 51 have just revealed the first teaser trailer for Painkiller Hell & Damnation. The game, which is a top-to-bottom remake of what they call the best Painkiller game ever, was unveiled at the recently-concluded Gamescom event in Germany.

If you're unfamiliar with Painkiller, the game's story revolves around Daniel Garner, a man happily married to his wife Catherine. As the couple set out to celebrate Catherine's birthday, the pair get into a car crash where both of them end up dead.
While Catherine manages to make it to Heaven, Daniel is trapped in Purgatory where an angel tells him he must kill Lucifer's demon generals in order to get to heaven…and let's leave it at that, no?
I gather this is the sort of story that you either find hokey, or really bad-ass. Are you interested in this remake or should Nordic leave well enough alone?
