While Hideo Kojima is still coy when talking about future games in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, it seems we now have unofficial official confirmation that a new MGS game is being made at KojiPro right this very moment!
According to Silent Hill 4 motion-capture and voice-over actor Erick Bossick (via SilentHaven), He is doing — and is slated to do more — mo-cap work for an "upcoming Metal Gear" game!
My past motion capture session was for upcoming metal gear game, I will be back with Kojima again in the fall, and maybe other sessions. This title is a long way off.I am working on a future metal gear, not to be released until next year summer at the earliest, if not later then that. Im doing motion capture only. I can 100% say my voice will not be involved in this. I dont even know what the title is, they are all very secretive and sometimes even the scenes I act out I dont even know the full story, because they want to keep it secret.
Bossick adds, "I suppose it is fine to mention I am working on it, everybody knows Kojima is making something now," However, he follows that up with, "The only thing is that I cant ever answer any questions about it or talk about, not for sometime."
So, logically speaking, he is working on a new Metal Gear game — though we don't know for sure if this is for Metal Gear Solid 5 or for further spin-offs of the franchise, no? I'd hate for all of us to salivate thinking this was MGS5, but only to be let down that it's a PS Vita MGS spin-off or something similar,
While Hideo Kojima has been rather mum on his future project, we do know it will be using Kojima Productions' FOX Engine as its game engine and is codenamed "Project Ogre." People all over the interwebs have been speculating that Project Ogre is a codename for Metal Gear Solid 5. Hopefully, peoples' speculations are right and Bossick's statements mean that a future Metal Gear Solid 5 announcement is not far away.
