Trine 2 Expansion Announced

August 16, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

Remember when they got stuck to the stone? Good times.

Frozenbyte brought something to the show-and-tell at Gamescom, and it's an expansion to the popular Trine 2 game called Goblin Menace. The acclaimed action-adventure platformer has grown so much from the first title, and it's encouraging to see Trine pushed to another new level. For players of the original or the sequel, an expansion to Trine is cause for celebration. Trine is one of those titles that you consistently want more of, and the Goblin Menace is going to offer just that.

Keeping in step with the gorgeous visuals present in the base title, Goblin Menace features a completely new campaign which spans six never-before-seen levels. Adding to that hefty set of new-ness, you will also get additional skills that are playable in the original game. Obviously the only course of action is to grab two trusted friends and prepare for some epic questing.

Trine 2: Goblin Menace is slated for a Fall 2012 release to PC, Mac, Linux, and other TBD platforms.
