Hawken Gamescom Gameplay Footage

August 16, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

It even hovers like the Robocop no one cared about!

PC Gamer has captured some gameplay footage of the yet-unreleased free-to-play shooter, Hawken. The video was taken at Gamescom and has a lot of mech-FPS action. Developed by the indie team at Adhesive Games, this is looking very impressive for a game created by a small studio. The action is paced well, the combat has a good feel to it, and the game is just absolutely gorgeous.

We can glean a lot of information from this four and a half minute video, but the most important piece of information is that PC Gamer loves techno music. They have self-admitted to adding the soundtrack due to issues with the audio recording. I now have this idea in my mind of their offices, with techno continually looping in the background, with designated times that all of the lights go out and everyone is forced to use glow sticks to light their ways.

Hawken is slated for release in December 2012 and beta registration is open at playhawken.com.
