PS4 Likely to drop to 200$ in 2017

December 23, 2016 by Jordan Coetsee

Lets hope this comes true

GamesIndustry.biz pulled together a bunch of experts and analysts such as SuperData’s Joost van Dreunen, EEDAR’s Patrick Walker, IHS Markit’s Piers Harding-Rolls, and Kantan Games’ Dr. Serkan Toto to make predictions and forecasts regarding Nintendo Switch, virtual reality, and much more.

One expert is Micheal Pachter Wedbush Securities who has predicted that the PS4 slim Will likely drop to 200$, a sweet spot for electronic consumers.

GamesIndustry: “PS4 price goes to $199. I think Sony is intent upon keeping Microsoft in distant second, and expect a price cut for standard PS4 (slim) to $199 before year-end 2017.”

The PS4 Slim currently retails at around 250$ dollars with many of those prices including a bundle with games like, Uncharted 4 or DOOM, so realistically it makes viable sense.

If this happens Microsoft will be in a predicament, as a longtime PlayStation fan lets the prediction can kill the Project Scorpio hype.
