Just in time for its Gamescom pressser to wrap up, Sony has revealed a new trailer for God of War: Ascension's multiplayer. Watch as characters who look like Kratos do Kratos-like moves but without actually being the angry Ghost of Sparta.
Seriously though, the game looks quite good from what they've shown so far. It also doesn't seem to be cutting back from the violence the series is known for, either. Watch as someone gets sliced in half in a friggin' multiplayer game!
It's quite bloody, no? I just wasn't expecting it to the same in multiplayer. The core gameplay seems to be a mix of Smash Bros. frantic fighting spliced in with the usual tropes of modern multiplayer games of today.
We'll know for sure if Sony Santa Monica's decision to add multiplayer in God of War pays off once Ascension ships in March of 2013 for the PS3.
