Atlus is leaving the family nest with their new project. The new Atlus game in the works will have nothing to do with Persona or even the wider Megami Tensei family.
The new confirmed RPG will be developed through a new studio which is a spin-off for Atlus, and will not be related to other games developed by Atlus’s family companies (Persona and Megami Tensei). The New studio has been named Studio Zero. An apt name, as they are looking to go back to their roots and create something entirely new and unique for the RPG genre.
The has been some concept art released on the game, and the artist is none other than Shigenori Soejima (the artist for Persona 5). Could this be an indication that many from the Persona 5 team will move over to work on the new RPG?
Unfortunately, all we can do at this point is take educated guesses as not much has been revealed about the new game. No platform releases nor release dates or even any other details, but we will certainly keep our eyes and ears open.
