DmC Will Have Vergil as a Main Character

August 14, 2012 by Alex Co

Capcom has announced that Vergil will be back to help Dante out in the upcoming Devil May Cry reboot.

During its pre-Gamescom press conference, Capcom has announced that Dante's brother — Vergil — will make an appearance in DmC.

Not only will Dante's brother make an appearance, he'll play a major role in the reboot, too. The publisher has revealed that Vergil "recruits" Dante into a group called "The Order" that's comprised of a group of hackers, spies and other people banding together to save mankind against the demons proliferating the world.

In addition to this, to make things a bit spicier, Capcom states that both have been estranged since childhood and Dante has no memory of Vergil being his brother; though it's revealed that the brothers will fight alongside each other and Vergil will still use his trusty sword — Yamato.

We'll have more news on DmC as Gamescom continues to open up.

DmC is scheduled to hit early next year for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Thanks, VG247
