Developer Deck 13 released a brand new gameplay trailer showing off their upcoming action-RPG The Surge. You might remember these developers from the souls inspired title “Lords of the Fallen”, and it seems like they’re sticking with the formula, but improving on it and taking it to a whole new genre/setting. The Surge is set in a heavily dystopian future as Earth nears the end of its life, those who remain in the overpopulated cities must work to survive as social programs become saturated by an aging population and increasing environmental diseases.

The world of The Surge offers a very grim vision of the future, where the evolution of our technology, our society and our relation with the environment led to a decadent state of the Human civilization.
As you can see from above, Deck 13 is sticking with the stamina management combat style gameplay, while keeping battles tense and visceral. However, this time around players will have the ability to craft, upgrade, and build new weapons with loot and blueprints. Hardcore RPG fans will want to keep on eye on this game, as there will be plenty of new features unique to the title; check out some of them down below:
