Dishonored’s Latest Trailer Shows Us How to Kill Creatively

August 9, 2012 by Alex Co

Bethesda has released a new trailer for Dishonored and it shows us the multitude of ways in dispensing enemies.

Bethesda has released a new trailer for Arkane Studios' upcoming first-person action game Dishonored and it shows us how to kill of enemies…creatively.

In the first scene, we get to see how players can mix the powers in their disposal to great effect. Watch as Corvo summons rats, slows down time to put a blade on them, and then use his possession skill to make the rats slice his enemies up. I admit, that's one heck of a way to dispose of a few guards.

If you find that a bit tiresome, you can just summon the rats and have them take care of Corvo's enemies the old fashioned way — by chomping them to death.

Give the trailer a look to see what I mean.

If you have an aversion to rats, the trailer also reveals that the player can have an enemy fire at him, slow down time, and then possess the enemy to stand in front of the bullet he just fired…it gives a whole new meaning to "friendly fire," no?

Aside from the methods mentioned, Arkane also shows us how to use Corvo's slow and teleport ability to good use. I won't spoil it for you, but it certainly beats just stabbing someone from behind.

Based on what we've seen so far, Dishonored could be one of the year's sleeper hits and it could give the first-person genre the kick in the ass it needs.
