The over-three-and-a-half hour keynote speech John Carmack delivered at QuakeCon 2012 is now on Youtube, and for that matter, above, for your viewing pleasure.
The co-founder of id Software talks about a whole host of things, including the much-publicized big reveal that the development company has shuttered its mobile division to focus all on of the company's resources on the upcoming Doom 4 at the expense of a number of mobile titles, one of which was as good as completed.
Otherwise, Carmack takes the time to speak more intently on game design, creative ideas, and cool gadgets. It's a long but interesting look into the animated mind of one of the primary figures responsible for the iconic first-person shooter series.
