Could a third installment of the Mafia franchise be under development at 2K Games? That certainly seems to be the case, if a report from Eurogamer.cz is to be believed.
According to the report (translated by Google), Eurogamer has heard from its source that 2K Games is making Mafia 3 and it's slated for the PS4 and Xbox 720.
While details regarding the rumor are scarce, the source also states that Mafia 3 won't be a debut game for next-gen platforms. Instead, it will supposedly appear sometime later in the both consoles' lifecycle. In addition, the game is purportedly in its early development stages, so chances of it appearing at this year's Gamescom is very unlikely.
Now, keep in mind that this is a rumor and should be treated as such. So, take it with a grain of salt…for now, at least.
