343 Industries announced that they will be launching a Halo Wars 1 Definitive Edition this month for some players. This announcement came from Dan Ayoub, head of 343 Industries, after he went up on stage at The Game Awards.
The game launches this month for players who have pre-ordered the Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition, meaning these players will also receive early access to the first game’s definitive edition. This launch will happen on December 20th.
In addition to this announcement, a new trailer for Halo Wars 2 was released as well, which largely focuses on the game’s new antagonist in order to help build the suspense and excitement for the upcoming game. Halo Wars 2 will be released on PC and Xbox One in February 2017, however players can get beta held before the launch.
