The latest Rainbow Six update should take care of the many issues that cropped up since the release of Operation Red Crow.
Notably, players who installed Operation Red Crow and purchased one of its two new operators, Hibana, found that they could cause other players to crash whenever Hibana used her gadget. Ubisoft removed the character following mass reports. The patch fixes the issue so she’s now available again.
Additionally, the game’s vote kick system has been removed from ranked play due to abuse. The developer writes: “Since its implementation, we have noticed abuse of the vote to kick feature, especially in ranked matches where there is a stiff penalty.”
“While we are still looking at other ways to implement a system that will allow for a more pleasant player experience, we found it necessary to remove this feature in ranked for the short term.”
The feature remains in casual mode, but requires significantly more votes for the kick to pass.
The update is out for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Read the patch notes.
