More than 730,000 IDs have been created within Phantasy Star Online 2 since it launched in Japan at the beginning of this month, SEGA have announced. The peak number of users was 91,513, a number that hit the servers on July 7th at 11PM. There are MMOs, big MMOs, that couldn't dream of those kinds of numbers, so it's exciting to see Phantasy Star Online 2 is a success.
Naturally, it's still early days and the important thing is how those numbers change over the coming months. SEGA also didn't reveal how many different people are represented within those 730,000 IDs. It might just be one really dedicated fan. Still, for early day-numbers there isn't much to complain about and it makes it even more difficult to know we probably won't get much of a hands-on until January or February (depending on location).
SEGA said that their next big focus was getting the game out into international markets.
