Steam Front Page Gets a Complete Makeover

November 8, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

The front page of the PC gaming platform has gotten an overhaul.

Steam’s front page just got a much-needed visual overhaul that should make it a lot easier to peruse the games that interest you and figure out what you should spend your hard-earned money on.

Recommendations are now right at the top, based on what your friends recommend, followed by curators you follow, making it far easier to share your tastes with the people you play with. Each game on the recommended slider contains a Highlights section that shows you why it was recommended, and by whom.

The hottest deals are listed directly below, with a section that shows you the featured sales, discounts, and recommended specials.

On the sidebar, you can get back to what you previously viewed, in case you closed the page or had a change of heart.

If you can’t figure out the rest, Valve has put up an explanation page to describe all the new features.
