Robotoki’s Robert Bowling Commits Human Element Prequel to Ouya

July 20, 2012 by Lana Polansky

The former Infinity Ward spokesperson promises an exclusive title for the Kickstarter-funded platform.

Robert Bowling, the former Infinity Ward spokesman who left this year to found indie game development studio Robotoki, has promised to creat an Ouya-only prequel to his zombie survival-themed FPS, Human Element.

This is significant considering one of the possible drawbacks of the Kickstarter-funded Ouya platform is the lack of games committed to it. A handful of developers have promised titles for the Android-driven platform, but most seem intent to wait and see how the platform fares.

Bowling, on the other hand, recorded a video in which he discusses plans for an episodic prequel to the upcoming zombie shooter which introduces players to the early post-apocalyptic environment and thematic context. These episodes are set 35 years before the plot of Human Element proper, which isn't scheduled for release until Q3 2015.

Bowling has not provided any other details on the game, but says updates will be provided to Kickstarter backers.
