Yakuza is one of those franchises that I've always wanted to play, but have never got around to. That's part of the beauty of these HD Collections, the opportunity to play the games you missed, polished up and with added trophies. Some of the collections have managed to show just how old these games are, but I have to say that the Yakuza 1&2 HD Edition looks spectacular.
With a Japanese release date right on the horizon, the collection will release on the first of November, it'd be nice to think that this might release officially in the west. I'm not sure if the original Japanese games had English subtitles or what the viability is of importing, but it seems like it'll definitely be worth it if you never had a chance to play them originally.
With that said, the Yakuza series has been very well supported in the west so far, with seemingly constant attention from SEGA, so it'd probably be wrong to presume it won't be happening. Watch this space.
