Double Dragon: Neon Gets Release Date

And just like the Power Glove, it’s so bad.

Double Dragon: Neon has finally calmed gamers by M.C. Hammering down September 11 and 12 for the respective PSN and XBLA releases. For classic game enthusiasts, Double Dragon: Neon is truly a sight to behold and for $10 across platforms, it's also moderately priced. Pulling inspiration straight from the '80s, the title first surfaced at the Boston Penny Arcade Expo a few months ago, and gamers have been chomping at the bit since then.

Billy and Jimmy are back, this time looking to take down Skullmageddon and save their collective girlfriend Marion. Creepy? Yes. Amazing? Also, yes. That's what the '80s were all about! Have you ever actually listened to the lyrics to "My Sharona?"

Neon will feature local and online co-op and is slated as a "love letter to the classic beat 'em up genre." The stereotypical '80s aesthetic will pull at your nostalgia strings, but also make you thankful that era has long since passed.
