Feast Your Eyes on the Trailer for Mass Effect: Paragon Lost

July 12, 2012 by Lana Polansky

Animated film produced as a prequel to Mass Effect 3

If you missed its premiere at San Diego Comic Con 2012, up above is the trailer for Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, an animated prequel to Mass Effect 3 made as a collaboration between BioWare and Production I.G. (they're responsible for the animated segment of Kill Bill Vol. 1.)

The story follows the earlier career of Alliance Marine James Vega, who leads an elite Special Forces team into combat against those handsome Collectors. The basic premise is that it's Vega's and his team's duty to protect civilians from an invasion and capture while stationed on a remote colony in a faraway star system.

The film promises to provide an extra glimpse into the Mass Effect universe and fill in some more of the game's backstory. And by the looks of it, there are some familiar faces in that trailer (humanoid and otherwise.)

The film is already available for purchase from Amazon on Blu-Ray and DVD (you can get a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo for $24.49 or just the DVD for $20.99 right now.)
