Flying Wild Hog's cyberpunk FPS Hard Reset has been handed free DLC, now available on Steam (the game is $15 if you don't already have it).
The DLC, entitled Exile, sends protagonist Major Fletcher into "the Barrens – dangerous lands beyond the last human city of Bezoar." The new content offers five new levels outside of the dark city, four new enemy types, a new boss to fight, two new survival maps and extra achievements. It'll also be nice to see different, new landscapes other than the dim cityscapes otherwise permeating the game.
Flying Wild Hog have already set a precedent for freebies, having released gratis Extended Editions of the game previously. And, truthfully, Exile sounds like a pretty good deal. So, if you want more out of Hard Reset but aren't a big spender (or a spender of any description), there's really no reason not to download the new DLC.
