The Extended Cut for Mass Effect 3 contains more than just a bunch of extended endings and dialogue related to the choices you make throughout the game. In fact, buried within the files were references to a Leviathan DLC which sees Shepard and her crew interacting with a renegade member of the Reaper species in the game’s singleplayer campaign.

Today, voice actor Anthony Skordi confirmed with Eurogamer that BioWare does in fact have a Leviathan DLC in the works, and that he would be voicing the aforementioned Reaper.

Separated from the rest of his kind, the Leviathan can ally with Shepard and provide players with information regarding the Reapers’ origins, which were only briefly alluded to in the Extended Cut ending but never detailed.

The Leviathan DLC remains unannounced at this time, but the studio has plans to release a DLC next week for multiplayer, titled simply “Earth.”

In the meantime, BioWare has announced that you’ll now have a chance to acquire a rare, powerful weapon called the Prothean Particle Rifle through Spectre Packs in the game’s multiplayer mode. Here’s what it looks like:
