The Elder Scrolls Online Receives 1.18 Update For PlayStation 4 & Xbox One

October 19, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Changes have been made for dueling, zones, dungeons, and loot.

One of the biggest updates has hit The Elder Scrolls Online and best of all it’s completely free for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users. The update adds a massive list of updates to the video game, but what may be the key aspect for some gamers is Tamriel.

Now gamers will be able to explore any zone in Tamriel regardless of your level or alliance. Additionally, players will find that there will be new player choice and social options with the removal of Alliance restrictions.

As noted within the press release that was sent over earlier today, the major updates include dueling, zone overhaul, dungeons, Craglorn, and loot.

  • Dueling: Players can now battle each other anywhere outside Cyrodiil to test their skills and builds and claim bragging rights as the toughest adventurer.
  • Zone Overhaul: All zones have been redesigned for a mix of solo and group play with improved bosses and standardized difficulty.
  • Dungeons: All dungeons can be played in normal and veteran mode, where story is separated from difficulty and players are battle-leveled to allow players of different levels to play together, and receive level-appropriate loot.
  • Craglorn: The massive Craglorn zone has been redesigned to make it solo-friendly but still the go-to location for group content.
  • Loot: Loot in zones has now been standardized like dungeon loot, making it possible to acquire specific sets in specific zones at whatever level you are when completing quests.

You can check out the full patch notes for the new update for The Elder Scrolls Online on the official Elder Scrolls Online forums.
