At 2:07 of this trailer for D3 Publisher's Earth Defense Force 3 Portable, you'll see a playable Pale Wing, the jetpacked, giant-bug-slaying madam that was first introduced in Global Defense Force (the second game in the series, released in 2007 on PS2).
Armed with the power of flight (in short bursts) and energy-based weapons, up to four players can simultaneously play Pale Wing in co-op once unlocked. The game also offers ground combat, an array of weapons including rocket launchers and assault rifles and vehicles available to commandeer, such as a tank, a helicopter, a hoverbike and a mecha.
EDF3 Portable is, in fact, a port of Earth Defense Force 2017 coming to PS Vita in Japan this September 27th. Still no word on a Western release date, sadly.
