For today only, if you purchase Max Payne 3 from Amazon, you will get a free copy of Red Dead Redemption. This is perfect for people who have missed out on some of Rockstar's more recent hits. Max Payne 3 has received glowing reviews and Red Dead has a handful of Game of the Year awards from 2010. The deal extends to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, so PC gamers might have to wait for the Steam Summer Sale to kick in.
If you're debating whether to pull the trigger on this purchase, keep in mind that the deal only extends until tomorrow. Amazon has tweeted that this deal is quickly expiring.
I pushed for a campaign like this years ago, but no one listens to the lowly games journalist. Red Dead is a title that every gamer should at least try out. Many have touted this title as Rockstar's finest work, so if you were planning on picking up Max Payne 3 at any point in your life, now is the time to do it.
