Capcom has announced its plans to re-release the classic Marvel vs Capcom games on both the XBLA and PSN this September. Titled Marvel vs Capcom: Origins, the package will contain both the original Marvel vs Capcom and Marvel Super Heroes.

The new release will come with all manner of updates including graphics filters, dynamic challenges, in-game achievements for both the 360 and PS3, and online play with spectator modes and replay saving.

Marvel Super Heroes features a cast of non-mutant characters like Spiderman and Captain America, plus villains like Dr. Doom and Thanos, and borrows heavily from the "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline in the Marvel series. Players can amplify each battle with the use of Infinity Gems for unique effects.

Marvel vs Capcom: Origins will be priced at 1200 MSP or $14.99.
