Meet GameDock: The Gadget That Turns Your iPhone into a Console

July 4, 2012 by Lana Polansky

New docking device turns your iPhone into a gaming system you can hook up to your television.

Now this is neat.

The GameDock, by Cascadia Games, is a sleek little device that looks like a simple music docking station for your iPhone, but instead, it turns your phone into a console that can be hooked up to your TV and supports up to two classic controllers.

The device is designed for compatibility with existing iCade games and “for dock-ready games that include two-player support and full 1080p HDTV output, ” says its Kickstarter page.

The dock also contains a dashboard that allows a player to select games using their TV controller, so you don’t have to worry about getting off the couch.

The GameDock isn’t for sale yet: the Kickstarter still has 43 days to go and is a ways off from hitting its goal. You can take a look at the page via the link at the bottom.
